Signature Pubs Careers | Cold Town Beer

Cold Town is an Edinburgh based craft brewery. Established in 2018 our beer is now a popular fixture on draft in pubs across Scotland and we are rapidly expanding into the off trade.

To support this expansion the Brewery is currently looking for a Brewery Operative to join their fast-paced production team at Dunedin Street.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will join a small team working across all areas of the packaging, brewing and delivery processes. Initially the main focus of the role will be in packaging and stock management.

Reporting to the Packaging manager you will work on a shift basis, based on the needs of production:

  • Assisting with the completion of kegging and stock management operations.
  • Assisting with the completion of brewing, cellar and filtration operations where it is required.
  • CIP (Clean in Place) of vessels
  • Maintaining a high standard of hygiene and housekeeping throughout the production facility
  • Ensuring production and stock records are accurate and up to date.
  • Quality testing (and tasting!)
  • There may also be the occasional requirement to represent the company at trade shows and customer facing events.
  • Core working hours will normally be 40 hrs per week with shifts possible between 6am and 10pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working. Typical shifts will run 7am-3pm and 1pm-9pm (40 hrs) or as agreed with your line manager.
  • It may be necessary from time to time for you to work at one of our other sites in central Edinburgh.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
