Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Bricklayer role located in Knottingley. The Bricklayer will lay bricks, blocks, and other masonry units to construct and repair walls, partitions, chimneys, and other structures according to plans and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Preparing and mixing mortar
- Setting out work areas
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Ensuring brickwork is level, plumb, and properly aligned

The role involves:
- Reading drawings
- Collaborating with site supervisors and other trades
- Adhering to health and safety requirements at all times
The Bricklayer will also be responsible for:
- Maintaining tools
- Keeping work areas tidy
- Meeting agreed project deadlines
Qualifications
- Strong bricklaying and masonry skills, including experience with blockwork, cavity walls, and decorative brickwork.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and site instructions.
- Solid understanding of construction site health and safety practices and safe use of tools and equipment.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity to handle materials, work at varying heights, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with supervisors, laborers, and other trades.
- Previous experience in bricklaying or a related construction trade; relevant vocational qualifications or apprenticeship completion are advantageous.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work full-time on-site in Knottingley; valid right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Full UK driving license and access to transport are beneficial but not mandatory.
