Job Introduction
The Bridge Project is a Bradford based charity with over 35 years’ experience delivering services and projects addressing a range of issues such as substance misuse, risk taking behaviours, relationships, housing, physical/mental health, and employment. We work with individuals, families, partners, and communities to improve people’s lives in a sustainable way, empowering people experiencing multiple barriers to achieve positive change.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the well-established Multiple Needs Navigation Service as one of two navigators, supported by a Senior and Service Manager, delivering support to people who are at risk of re-offending and who are managed by the Probation Services. The role aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of people with multiple needs, who find it difficult to engage in services, who revolve in and out of services or are excluded from services. As a Navigator, you will work in an outreach capacity to help people who experience multiple needs (housing, substance misuse, offending behaviour, mental health, and physical health) to access the services and the interventions that they need to build their resilience, gain confidence, and acquire the personal and social assets they need to meet their aspirations.
Role Requirements:
- Qualified to Social Care Level 3 or equivalent or qualified through appropriate life or job experience
- At least 1 year’s experience of delivering advice or support in health, social care, homelessness or an offender service setting in the last 3 years
- Highly organised with excellent communication skills
- Able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a supportive team to ensure a high-quality service is maintained, whilst applying your knowledge and understanding of trauma informed care approaches

Key Duties:
- Develop person-centred, multi-agency support plans
- Be the single point of contact which includes planning contact to meet individuals needs
- Identify and overcome crisis points that may cause disengagement
- Place individuals at the heart of your interactions, with the ability to build up a rapport and trust, with personal skills around warmth, compassion, empathy and resilience with a desire to help people and get things done
- Have a non-judgemental approach and strong professional boundaries
The Navigator position is a full-time permanent role. A driving licence with access to a vehicle and fully comprehensive business insurance is essential for this role. A willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check is also a requirement of the post (the results of which would not necessarily exclude applicants from consideration).
