Bridging and Development Case Manager

Location: Livingston

Salary: £30,000, plus performance bonus (OTE £35,000)

Working Pattern: Office-based during probation, then hybrid working with up to 2 days from home per week

About the Role

Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Case Manager to join their specialist lending team. You will play a key role in managing bridging and development finance applications from enquiry through to completion of the loan. The role involves working closely with the Sales team, clients, brokers, lenders, and solicitors to ensure applications progress smoothly and efficiently. You will act as a primary point of contact throughout the application journey, helping to resolve queries, obtain outstanding information, and provide proactive updates to all parties involved. Joining a collaborative and supportive team, you'll help deliver an exceptional customer experience while contributing to the continued success and growth of the business.

Working Week

Core working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, 8:30AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience as a Mortgage Case Manager/Mortgage Administrator within a mortgage brokerage, lender, or packaging environment
  • Case Management or Underwriting experience within specialist property finance, mortgages, or secured lending
  • Strong understanding of lender requirements and loan documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage own workload, priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Duties

  • Manage Bridging and Development cases from application through to completion
  • Review lender underwriting queries and challenge unnecessary requirements where appropriate
  • Identify and escalate issues that may impact case progression
  • Review financial, application, and project documentation, including planning and build cost schedules
  • Instruct valuations where required
  • Proactively chase outstanding information to keep applications progressing
  • Provide updates and forecasts on expected offers and completions
  • Ensure client arrangement fees are paid on time
