About The Role

The Broadband Market Forecasting Manager is responsible for leading Openreach's view of the UK broadband market and translating complex market developments into robust forecasts and actionable business insight. Broadband Net Change is one of Openreach's most high-profile performance measures, closely monitored by senior leadership, investors, and industry analysts, making the accuracy and credibility of our forecasting critically important.

This is an especially exciting time to join the team. The UK broadband market is undergoing significant change, including continued FTTP expansion, increasing network competition, wholesale developments, consolidation amongst alternative network providers, and rapidly changing macroeconomic conditions. These developments are creating both opportunities and uncertainty for Openreach, making the need for high-quality market analysis and forecasting more important than ever.

The role sits at the intersection of market strategy, commercial decision-making, and analytics. It offers the opportunity to tackle complex business problems in one of the UK's most dynamic markets, using data, modelling, and insight to influence major commercial, investment, and planning decisions across Openreach.

The role combines advanced analytical and modelling expertise with strong commercial thinking. The successful candidate will develop and maintain forecasting models, assess different market scenarios, and provide recommendations that directly influence business planning, investment decisions, and major strategic targets.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
