Insight Global Broadcast Operations Engineer
Insight Global are seeking a Broadcast Operations Engineer for a leading global satellite communications and media services organisation supporting high-profile live sports and broadcast events.
This role will be responsible for monitoring live broadcast content, supporting transmission feeds, troubleshooting broadcast and satellite issues, and ensuring successful content delivery across critical media operations environments. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and internal teams to support live broadcasts, race weekend operations, pre-event testing, and ongoing media transport activities. This position also offers long-term growth potential into a more senior operational leadership capacity.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor live broadcast and transmission feeds.
- Support critical live event and sports broadcasting operations.
- Troubleshoot broadcast, media transport, satellite, and network-related issues.
- Ensure successful delivery of live content to end destinations.
- Operate and maintain broadcast, media transport, and networking infrastructure.
- Provide customer-facing technical support during live events and broadcasts.
- Coordinate media transport activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Perform transmission monitoring and incident escalation.
- Support pre-event testing and operational readiness activities.
- Act as a key technical resource within the Media Operations team.

This position requires 6 days onsite per week (Tuesday-Sunday) in Biggin Hill, UK for a 24-month contract.
Must-Have Requirements
- Strong experience within broadcast engineering environments.
- Experience supporting satellite communications and transmission operations.
- Media transport experience.
- Customer-facing technical support experience.
- Transmission monitoring experience.
- Live event or live broadcast support experience.
- Experience working with SDI, ASI, RF and L-Band technologies.
- Experience supporting satellite transmission environments.
- Familiarity with fibre networking technologies.
- Experience with content routing systems.
- Knowledge of broadcast monitoring platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to provide reliable onsite coverage in the Biggin Hill / London area.
