Job Title: Broker Assistant

Division: Worldwide Property – North America Open Market

Location: London

Introduction

Responsible for the administration support function of the North America Open Market broking team.

Responsibilities

  • Completing checklists on all bound risks
  • Compiling and sending submissions to the market
  • Aiding the broking team with organising client events
  • Preparing client meeting itineraries and presentation documents
  • Aid and assist the broking team as a link to the marketing division
  • Uploading firm order slips to PPL and seeing through to signing and close
  • Preparation of Final Terms/Binding documents for Clients
  • Working closely with Processing and Accounts teams to monitor premium payments and assist in chasing for outstanding funds where required
  • Requests and oversees follow-up for changes from underwriters and reviews coverage specifications to be submitted to carriers/underwriters to ensure they are accurate
  • Maintains market contact at appropriate levels needed to execute assigned tasks effectively and assist the Placement colleague

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications

  • Strong administrative and time management skills
  • Strong organisational skills
  • London Market Insurance knowledge preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others, both internal and external — strong interpersonal skills
  • Understanding and affinity for relationship building
