Broker Assistant - US Casualty Team
Role Overview Broker assistant working within a super high-performing US Casualty team. This is a real career move where you can learn from the best brokers in this line and develop and grow your skills.
Responsibilities
- Total Objects duplication of renewals and setting up new business.
- Preparation of indications, quotes, and binders.
- Handling renewals.
- Compiling correspondence files and underwriting information.
- Working up submissions for the broking team.
- Obtaining loss runs and alerts from Underwriters, keeping up to date for upcoming renewals.
- Ensuring subjectivities are satisfied and supporting post-placement queries.
- Ensuring account files are kept in an audit-ready condition.
- General administrative support needed for the team, as and when needed.
- Liaising with Back-up and Claims departments for policy and invoice production.

Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications
- Previous work experience, and some exposure to insurance, even if this is through an internship or summer placement.
- A graduate with a 2:1 and able to demonstrate a genuine interest in insurance as a career.
- Strong communication skills (including written and verbal) with both internal and external customers.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others — strong interpersonal skills.
- Understanding and affinity for relationship building.
- Good administrative and time management skills.
- Good organizational skills.
