The Role

As a Broker Platforms Trainer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering engaging training on our broker platforms and associated systems. Working closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and system owners, you will design, deliver, and continuously improve learning solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with insurance broking experience who enjoys coaching others, simplifying complex processes, and driving continuous improvement through learning.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expert knowledge of broking platforms and associated systems (including Acturis, IBS, PPL, and OGI), ensuring awareness of functionality enhancements and best practice.
  • Act as the first point of contact for Broker Platform training enquiries, providing guidance and support on onboarding, refresher training, best practice processes, and new system functionality.
  • Design, develop, and deliver engaging Broker Platform system training programmes for new starters, acquisitions, refresher courses, and system updates using a variety of learning methods to meet different learning needs.
  • Create, maintain, and review Broker Platform training materials, user guides, knowledge articles, and other learning resources to ensure content remains engaging, informative, accurate, current, and aligned to business processes.
  • Support the Divisional Director - Systems & Training in the planning, coordination, and delivery of training projects, including scheduling, resource planning, and stakeholder communication.
  • Deliver training through multiple channels including virtual, face to face with travel to various office locations.
  • Monitor and evaluate Broker Platform training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, making recommendations for continuous improvement to training content and delivery methods.
  • Work closely with various business stakeholders to support system implementations, upgrades, and process changes, ensuring end users are appropriately trained and prepared.
  • Collaborate with senior management, business & operational teams to identify Broker Platform system training requirements, assess skills gaps & promote consistent use, best practice & efficiencies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Broker Platform systems, processes, and training frameworks, identifying opportunities to enhance user experience, efficiency, and data quality.

  • Previous knowledge & experience delivering system, software, or operational training within the broking sector environment.
  • Knowledge & experience designing, developing, and delivering training programmes for a variety of audiences and learning styles.
  • Strong understanding of insurance broking systems and processes, with experience of platforms such as Acturis, IBS, PPL, OGI, or similar industry systems.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and training schedules.
  • Experience creating e-learning content, videos, and interactive training materials.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, both in-person and virtually.
  • Confident problem-solver with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about learning, development, and helping others succeed.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently whilst contributing effectively as part of a wider team.
  • Experience analysing training effectiveness through reporting and performance metrics.
  • A full driving licence – travel between various office locations within the UK will be required.
