Description

Providing first-class administrative support is essential to the smooth, day-to-day running of our underwriting function. This role offers dedicated assistance to brokers and underwriters across our teams, helping ensure underwriting operations run efficiently and effectively.

You’ll support the end-to-end underwriting process from logging and processing submissions on CFC’s underwriting system to binding and servicing policies. You’ll work closely with CFC underwriters and other members of the broker support team.

You’ll develop a thorough understanding of CFC’s workflow processes and systems. Your focus will be providing excellent customer service to our brokers, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring quality and efficiency across our products and services.

About the role

  • Providing excellent administrative support to underwriting teams to ensure CFC can adhere to target turnaround times for our brokers and insureds;
  • Managing the underwriting central inboxes and logging new and renewal submissions on CFC’s internal underwriting system;
  • Preparing certificates and other standard documents;
  • Servicing quotes requests within CFC’s portfolio framework;
  • Managing referrals from our technology platform and automation process, supporting our brokers and servicing or escalating the requests;
  • Managing internal workflows and sending emails chasing outstanding items such as subjectivities and renewal business;
  • Answering broker phone calls and triaging or managing queries;
  • General ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

About you

We are looking for passionate entry level individuals who are keen to start their career. You will have:

  • Excellent customer service skills to support customers both via email and telephone
  • Computer literacy with strong skills in Outlook, Word and particularly Excel
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines and turnaround times
  • Excellent level of attention to detail including accurate written and numeracy skills
  • Good communications skills, courtesy and patience
