We are looking for motivated and person-centred Brokerage Officers to join Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the right care and support for people, ensuring arrangements are timely, strengths-based and focused on achieving the best possible outcomes.
As part of our Brokerage Service, you will work alongside people, families, professionals and providers to plan, source and arrange care and support in a way that promotes independence, choice and value for money. You will help identify practical and creative solutions, working with a range of services and providers to secure support that meets people’s needs and helps them remain connected to their communities.
This role sits at the heart of our Living Better Lives in Lancashire vision, which focuses on supporting people to live as independently as possible, build on their strengths and access support in the heart of their communities. We are looking for people who share our commitment to respectful, collaborative and innovative practice and who are passionate about making a positive difference to people’s lives.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.
Throughout this period, our focus remains on delivering excellent services to our communities. By joining us now, you'll play an important role in shaping the future of local government and helping to build a strong new organisation that will serve residents for years to come.
