About The Role
Pertemps Solihull seeks a Brokerage Planner for a full-time, temporary assignment in Marston Green (B37), paying £16.40 per hour for a 37.5-hour week with an immediate start. This position supports transport operations by managing transactions and maintaining precise records.

Transport Brokerage & Load Planning
- Identify and source suitable hauliers and subcontractors to meet transport requirements.
- Obtain competitive transport quotations and negotiate rates where appropriate.
- Allocate loads to suitable carriers to optimise operational efficiency and profitability.
- Assist with the planning and coordination of daily transport requirements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Successfully cover at least 98% of customer loads.
- Achieve brokerage margins in line with the departmental target.
Carrier & Customer Management
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with approved subcontractors and customers.
- Provide timely updates regarding shipment progress and proactively resolve any service-related issues.
- Coordinate collection and delivery arrangements with customers, carriers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Respond to at least 95% of customer queries within 1 hour during business hours.
- Maintain customer complaints attributable to brokerage activity below 2% of managed loads.

Administration & Compliance
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records relating to bookings, rates, proof of delivery (PODs), and all relevant transport documentation.
- Verify that all subcontractors meet the company's compliance requirements, including maintaining valid insurance and operator licences.
- Assist with invoice verification and the effective control of transport costs.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Ensure 100% of subcontractors have valid compliance documentation before being allocated work.
- Maintain booking and rate-entry accuracy of at least 99%.
Operational Support
- Monitor daily transport movements and proactively address any delivery issues.
- Identify and escalate delays, service failures, or other operational concerns as required.
- Work collaboratively with warehouse, transport, and customer service teams to support smooth and efficient operations.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Maintain an on-time delivery performance of at least 97%.
- Ensure service failures are investigated and escalated within the agreed company SLA.
