The customer contacted us after experiencing ongoing issues with their existing roof. As the property’s roof was approaching the end of its natural lifespan of around 50 years, it was becoming increasingly vulnerable to weather damage, inefficiency, and deterioration. Rather than continuing with repeated repairs, a full roof replacement was the most reliable long-term solution.
The project began with full scaffolding to ensure safe access, followed by a complete strip of the existing roof. All tiles, felt, and battens were removed. Given the roof’s age, it was well beyond mid-life and showing clear signs of wear, making a full renewal essential for lasting protection and performance.

To further enhance performance, a dry ridge system, dry verge system, and felt support trays were installed, improving ventilation and securing vulnerable roof edges against wind and rain. Chimney flashing was replaced, and the front porch roof was also renewed for a consistent, watertight finish.

Externally, the property received a full upgrade with new uPVC fascia, soffits, shiplap cladding, and deep flow guttering, significantly improving both appearance and maintenance requirements. An additional layer of loft insulation was also installed to improve energy efficiency and reduce heat loss.
