BSD Senior – c£45K – Northampton
A well-established and forward-thinking accountancy firm in Northampton is looking to appoint a Business Services Department (BSD) Senior to join their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced accountant to take on a varied role across accounts, tax, and advisory, working with a diverse portfolio of clients and gaining exposure to a broad range of industries.
The Role:
As a BSD Senior, your key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements for companies, partnerships, and sole traders in line with relevant accounting standards.
- Producing Corporation Tax and Income Tax computations, ensuring compliance with current tax legislation.
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts, providing valuable insights to support clients’ financial planning and decision-making.
- Supporting the delivery of advisory projects and other specialist assignments.
- Liaising directly with clients and building strong working relationships.
- Working closely with senior team members and helping to support and guide junior staff.
- Managing deadlines and ensuring high-quality, accurate outputs across all work.

What’s Needed:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist level) ideally but experience is as important as qualification.
- Experience in a UK accountancy practice, particularly in accounts preparation and tax compliance.
- Good working knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with a proactive, team-focused approach.
