About the role
Global Voices is seeking an experienced British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter to join our London team on a full-time, permanent basis.
You will provide professional, accurate and impartial BSL interpreting across a range of client settings, including meetings, interviews, training, conferences and other professional environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality BSL ↔ spoken English interpreting.
- Support effective communication between Deaf and hearing individuals.
- Prepare for assignments and manage relevant terminology.
- Maintain confidentiality, impartiality and professional standards.
- Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Manage a varied workload with excellent organisation and reliability.
- Maintain ongoing professional development.
Who are we looking for?
- Recognised qualification in BSL interpreting.
- Proven professional interpreting experience.
- Excellent BSL and spoken English skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Professional, reliable and able to work independently.
- Committed to accessibility, inclusion and high-quality service delivery.
- Experience in corporate, public sector, legal, healthcare, education or conference settings would be advantageous.
