Your mission

About the role

Global Voices is seeking an experienced British Sign Language (BSL) Interpreter to join our London team on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will provide professional, accurate and impartial BSL interpreting across a range of client settings, including meetings, interviews, training, conferences and other professional environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality BSL ↔ spoken English interpreting.
  • Support effective communication between Deaf and hearing individuals.
  • Prepare for assignments and manage relevant terminology.
  • Maintain confidentiality, impartiality and professional standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Manage a varied workload with excellent organisation and reliability.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development.

Who are we looking for?

  • Recognised qualification in BSL interpreting.
  • Proven professional interpreting experience.
  • Excellent BSL and spoken English skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Professional, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Committed to accessibility, inclusion and high-quality service delivery.
  • Experience in corporate, public sector, legal, healthcare, education or conference settings would be advantageous.
