Role Purpose
To define, shape and govern the end-to-end architecture for Core IT (BSS), ensuring platforms are modular, scalable, reusable and AI-ready, and aligned to business outcomes across markets through API-first, event-driven and platform-based design.
This role supports strategic and technical leadership across Vodafone markets and business functions, defining and co-creating along with Domain and market architects, reference architectures, architecture standards and principles, roadmaps and transition and target states, while aligning enterprise and capability architectures with Group guidance and local market execution.
The primary focus is on Core IT application that includes TM Forum Open Digital Architecture domains Party Management – Customer Relationship Management, Partner Management marketing, sales; Core Commerce – Product & Offer management, pricing, order, billing, mediation and supporting platforms; Production Management – Service management, integration into OSS, driving standardisation, reuse, legacy modernisation and cross-domain integration.

What you’ll do
- Define reference architecture across Core IT domains and guide legacy modernisation to modular, interoperable platforms.
- Support and drive Core IT (BSS) vendor assessments aligning to Vodafone technology standards.
- Guide application strategy, build vs buy decisions, vendor alignment and cross-market standardisation.
- Align with other domains - Digital, Integration, Data, operations and AI-enabled capabilities to improve agility, simplicity and speed.
- Provide clear guidance, decision frameworks and traceability from strategy through to delivery.
Who you are
- TOGAF certification
- TM Forum Frameworx / Open Digital Architecture (ODA)
- SAFe certifications / experience
- Platform / vendor certifications
- Aptitude for AI, automation and emerging technology trends in enterprise architecture

What's in it for you
- Discretionary yearly bonus: 10%
- Annual leave: 28 days + bank holidays + the opportunity to buy/sell/carry over 5 days/year
- Charity days: 5 days/year
- Maternity/adoption leave: 52 weeks out of which the first 13 weeks are fully paid followed by 26 weeks of half pay and 6 months - working 4 days, getting paid 5
- Paternity leave: 16 weeks fully paid
- Private pension: You can contribute up to 5% of your basic pay with 2:1 matching from Vodafone up to 10%.
