Build Engineer – UK Deployments | Derby, UK
Contract: 12 October 2026 – 21 May 2027 (8 months)
Location: Derby, UK – Hybrid, 1–2 days onsite per week
Rate: £400/day Inside IR35
Eligibility: British only
Clearance: BPSS + SC clearance or ability to achieve SC
Residency: Minimum 5 years continuous UK residency / unbroken residency
Client: Aerospace & Defence project
Role Purpose
We are looking for a Build Engineer to support a technical Maximo upgrade and migration programme within the Aerospace & Defence sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute environment deployments across project environments.
- Support OpenShift platform operations.
- Implement and maintain secure deployment processes.
- Coordinate release management activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment failures.
- Support technical upgrade and migration activities.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure successful deployments.

Technical Project
The programme involves a Maximo 7.6 to MAS 9.x upgrade and migration, including:
- Migration from Maximo 7.6 on Oracle to MAS 9.x on DB2.
- Migration to Azure Cloud.
- Like-for-like migration of existing Maximo designs.
- Remediation and technical changes required as part of the upgrade.
- Technical deployment and environment management.
Clearance & Eligibility
- British only.
- Minimum 5 years continuous UK residency required.
- BPSS is a standard requirement.
- SC clearance is mandatory or candidate must be able to obtain it.
- Dual nationality will be reviewed on an individual case-by-case basis.

Interview Process
Normally one interview should be sufficient, subject to a potential technical deep dive by Practice Leaders.
Working Arrangement
- Location: Derby, UK
- Hybrid: 1–2 days onsite per week
- Travel expenses will be covered by Client.
