Job Description
Location: Andras House Ltd, Andras House, 60 Great Victoria Street

What is the Job?
You will be the face of the building, greeting as well as monitoring visitors. Reporting to the Estates Manager this position will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and security of the building. The role includes working with contractors and assisting with planning and carrying out planned and reactive maintenance. You will play an important role in Fire Safety in the buildings by carrying out safety checks, updating the Fire Register. The role includes maintaining the cleanliness of the building and in particular the entrance and service areas. You will work closely with the Estates department.
Hours: 46 hours

You will be a well presented, proactive, professional, hardworking and committed individual who understands the importance of building management in Andras House Properties. You will have good organisational skills, have a good attention to detail and be able to work on your own.

About The Role
Your Day to Day
- Attend to the front desk of Lincoln Building, opening up at 8am and locking doors at 5:30pm
- Assist those who enter that need assistance in a pleasant and courteous manner
- Responsible for the opening/closing and the security of the whole building, reporting any suspicious behaviours and accidents
- The ordering and distribution of toiletries that arrive to each area required
- You will be responsible for the post that arrives in the morning and distribute this to the appropriate tenant
- Fire Duties – implementing and updating the Fire Register. Responsible for duties involved with fire drills within the building and have a working knowledge of the operations of the fire alarm system
- General and ad-hoc cleaning duties, to include spillages, brushing and cleaning around exterior of front door and car park area, and supervising agency cleaners
- Responsible for light maintenance duties that may be required e.g. changing of light bulbs
- Planning and scheduling the servicing of building systems and health and safety tasks by external contractors through use of property management application
- Liaising with external contractors and service providers for maintenance and repair work
- Monthly Meter Readings
- Monitor Bins and report when required to be emptied
- Inspect and patrol buildings regularly owned by Andras House as and when required
- Any other duties at the discretion of the management
- Coordinate with tenants to address their concerns, needs or complaints escalating to Estates Manager when required
- Inspecting the building regularly to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards

Required Criteria
- Experience in a customer facing role or supervisory position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- IT skills in Microsoft applications
- Good time management skills
- Team player and problem-solving skills
Desired Criteria
- Experience within a building attendant or property management or building maintenance
- 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above to include English
