Building Control Lead
Northamptonshire, UK

Rate: Up to £75 Hourly
We are currently seeking an experienced Building Safety specialist to join a Housing and Property team in Northamptonshire as the Building Control Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects that directly impact public safety and building compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary Building Control service.
- Provide expert advice on Building Control, Building Regulations, and Building Safety matters.
- Lead the implementation of the Building Safety Levy.
- Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulator requirements and quality assurance standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase service market share and income generation.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and service transformation.
- Manage budgets, performance, governance, risk, and stakeholder relationships.
- Lead and develop Building Control Surveying, Technical, and Business Support teams.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Fully qualified Building Inspector, registered with a body such as CABE, RICS, CIOB, ICE, or IStructE.
- Relevant Building Control experience.
- Strong experience of leading teams.
