Our Building Control team is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Support Officer to join our friendly and professional service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and an interest in learning the technical aspects of Building Control. You will play a key role in supporting a busy team, assisting customers and helping to ensure the smooth delivery of projects ranging from domestic home improvements to major commercial developments across Plymouth.

What you will be doing

  • Providing high-quality administrative support to the Building Control team.
  • Responding to customer enquiries by telephone, email and sometimes in person.
  • Supporting the processing of Building Control applications and associated documentation.
  • Supporting a busy team of surveyors and technical staff to deliver an efficient customer-focused service.
  • Managing your workload effectively and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
