Multi Skilled Engineer
Are you motivated to work for the world’s leading provider of workplace services? CBRE are currently recruiting for a passionate and service-driven Multiskilled Engineer to deliver best in class services to a high-profile client site.
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our on-site engineering team. This is a static position working alongside another Multi-Skilled Engineer, responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, and compliance-related activities across building services and site infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical bias, although applicants with a solid electrical background and good mechanical understanding will also be considered. The successful candidate will be capable of working independently, taking ownership of their workload, and maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
What You’ll Do
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance activities across building services systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with site procedures.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and update maintenance records through CAFM systems.
- Raise and manage purchase orders (POs) for materials, services, and contractor works.
- Coordinate and oversee specialist contractors on site.
- Support the management and operation of building automation and control systems.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and proactively resolve issues before they impact site operations.
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide out-of-hours support when required.
- Build positive working relationships with site stakeholders and service providers.

What You’ll Need
- Experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a building services or facilities management environment.
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
- Good electrical knowledge and fault-finding capability.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Sound understanding of engineering compliance and statutory maintenance requirements.
- Experience working with permits to work, RAMS, and compliance documentation.
- Experience using CAFM systems and digital maintenance platforms.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and maintenance management software.
- Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent fault-finding, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Proactive approach with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
