ROLE: Building Fabric Engineer / Handyperson

LOCATION: North London, EN5

PAY RATE: £22.00 per hour Umbrella

CONTRACT: 2 Months Contract (Potential Extension)

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general building fabric repairs and maintenance.
  • Undertake painting and decorating works as required.
  • Carry out ironmongery repairs and replacements, including doors, locks, hinges, and handles.
  • Complete general handyman and maintenance tasks across the hospital.
  • Identify defects and carry out appropriate repairs.
  • Assist with maintaining the building fabric in a safe and presentable condition.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete works within agreed timescales.
  • Work safely and in accordance with site procedures and health & safety requirements.
  • Maintain a professional approach when working in a live hospital environment.

  • Previous experience as a Handyperson, Building Fabric Engineer, Maintenance Operative, Fabric Engineer, or similar.
  • Good practical knowledge of general building repairs and maintenance.
  • Experience in painting/decorating and ironmongery.
  • Ability to carry out a range of general maintenance tasks.
  • Hospital/healthcare experience is preferred but not essential.
  • Good understanding of health & safety procedures.
  • Standard DBS required.
