Building Fabric Maintenance Operative

Location: Worcester Royal Hospital

Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm

Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)

Reports To: Assistant Technical Services Manager

Role Overview

Join our team at Worcester Royal Hospital as a Building Fabric Maintenance Operative. You’ll carry out general building repairs and minor installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to hospital services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and reactive building maintenance tasks
  • Operate hand tools and access equipment safely
  • Maintain accurate records and complete documentation
  • Collaborate with colleagues and hospital departments to minimise disruption
  • Carry out risk assessments and report hazards
  • Work flexibly, including out-of-hours when required

Candidate Profile

  • Painting/decorating qualification (essential)
  • Experience in healthcare maintenance (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent (essential)
  • Strong practical skills and knowledge of building tools
  • Basic Health & Safety awareness
  • Full clean driving licence
