Building Fabric Maintenance Operative
Location: Worcester Royal Hospital
Hours: Mon – Fri, 8am – 5pm
Salary: Up to £30,000 (depending on experience)
Reports To: Assistant Technical Services Manager
Role Overview
Join our team at Worcester Royal Hospital as a Building Fabric Maintenance Operative. You’ll carry out general building repairs and minor installations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to hospital services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform planned and reactive building maintenance tasks
- Operate hand tools and access equipment safely
- Maintain accurate records and complete documentation
- Collaborate with colleagues and hospital departments to minimise disruption
- Carry out risk assessments and report hazards
- Work flexibly, including out-of-hours when required

Candidate Profile
- Painting/decorating qualification (essential)
- Experience in healthcare maintenance (desirable)
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent (essential)
- Strong practical skills and knowledge of building tools
- Basic Health & Safety awareness
- Full clean driving licence
