Equans is looking for a Building Fabric Maintenance Handyman to join our Healthcare team at Worcester Royal Hospital. This is a full-time role with occasional work outside normal contracted hours. On offer is a salary of up to £30,000 dependent upon skills and experience.
What will you deliver?
- Complete planned and reactive building maintenance across the healthcare estate
- Carry out tiling, making good, fixing wall rails and minor installation works
- Respond promptly to breakdowns while maintaining safe, clean and compliant work areas
- Liaise with wards, departments and colleagues to minimise disruption to healthcare services

Who are you?
- Experienced in general building maintenance and reactive repairs
- Skilled in tasks such as tiling, making good and minor installation works
- Able to use hand tools, power tools and access equipment safely
- Familiar with risk assessments, safe working practices and infection control procedures
- Customer focused, professional and respectful when working with hospital staff and patients
- Reliable, flexible and able to work independently or with other trades
- Organised and able to complete job records and paperwork accurately
- Willing to undertake training and work outside normal hours when required
Background checks
This role is based at Worcester Royal Hospital and may require employment screening, occupational health checks and additional background checks in line with client, contractual and site requirements. Further checks will be confirmed during the recruitment process.
