We are seeking a reliable and skilled Building Maintenance Operative to join our team in Andover, SP11 9BB. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks to ensure buildings are safe, functional, and well maintained.
Shift pattern: Tuesday - Saturday, 07.30am - 16.30pm
Location: Andover, SP11 9BB
Key Responsibilities
- At all times to ensure that all work is carried out in a safe manner, seeking guidance from colleagues as required
- Assist the engineers where required to drive the performance of the team, equipment, or process to deliver the planned requirements for the day in the most efficient way
- Escalate any issues by communicating to the appropriate person - working closely with other departments
- Ensure all operations carried out inside the factory are in line with and adhere to the food safety principles. Company, H&S, HR, and Hygiene policies and standards must also be always adhered to.
- Take responsibility of the following areas:
- Drains
- Fencing
- External wall panels
- Painting
- Drain pipes - guttering
- Plumbing
- Cable runs
- Wall repairs
- General fabrication
- Support and seek opportunities within any projects to reduce waste, maximize recycling, and reduce the carbon footprint of the site

Skills & Knowledge
- Previous experience of a similar role
- Ability to operate within a fast-paced environment
- Good communicator
- Good team player
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding and practical use of relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and Technical knowledge
- Can work unsupervised and make decisions when required, including good problem-solving skills
