BMS Engineer
Knight Controls Limited is looking for a full-time BMS Engineer to join our growing engineering team.
About the Role
The role will involve working across a range of commercial buildings throughout London and the South East, carrying out service, maintenance, fault finding, remedial works, upgrades and project-related BMS works.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for attending customer sites, investigating faults, carrying out planned maintenance and completing repairs or modifications to existing BMS systems. The role will also involve supporting installation and commissioning works, carrying out controller and network checks, and ensuring systems are operating correctly following any works completed.
A good understanding of HVAC systems and building services is important, as much of the role will involve fault finding across both the controls and mechanical sides of a system. You should be comfortable investigating issues independently, identifying the likely cause of faults and clearly reporting any further works that may be required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
