Building Manager – Gosport, Hampshire
Ardan Recruitment is partnering with the world’s largest commercial real estate services business to find a Building Manager for an established multi-let business park in Gosport, just off the M27.
The estate combines refurbished office suites with large industrial and warehouse units on a secure 24-hour site, and the landlord is investing in refurbishment across the park. You’ll have full operational ownership of the estate, along with the training, support and career progression that come with a global market leader.
The role
- Take day-to-day operational responsibility for the estate, working to health and safety, environmental and company standards across both office and industrial units.
- Prepare, control and monitor the service charge budget, and produce management reports.
- Lead on health and safety compliance: audits, risk assessments, permits to work, evacuations and emergency plans.
- Oversee the planned maintenance programme and manage contractors and service providers to the agreed standard, including security for the site.
- Build strong relationships with a diverse occupier base and attend tenant meetings.
- Support the delivery of refurbishment and capital projects with the wider property team.
- Support procurement and contract compilation, and maintain site records such as the asset register and plant testing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
