One day working from home
Madison Berkeley is partnering with a leading property owner to appoint a client-side Building Manager for an established commercial building within a prestigious Central London estate.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of your own building, develop lasting occupier relationships and work directly for the landlord. Based in a prime London location, you’ll combine responsibility for day-to-day operations with a welcoming, visible presence for the businesses that call the building home.
Ready to step up from an Assistant Building or Property Manager role? You’ll have an experienced Technical Services Manager and Assistant Property Manager alongside you, plus a wider estate team to share ideas, knowledge and support. The previous manager has progressed into an Estate Manager position within the same estate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ll be responsible for:
- Leading daily building operations, keeping standards high and responding confidently to issues.
- Building strong relationships with occupiers through regular, face-to-face contact.
- Working closely with the technical and assistant management team.
- Overseeing contractors and coordinating services with the wider estate.
- Maintaining health and safety compliance.
- Supporting budgets and financial reporting, with guidance available as you develop.
About you
You may be an Assistant Building or Property Manager ready for greater responsibility, or a Building or Facilities Manager keen to move client-side. Experience gained within either a consultancy or an in-house team would be welcome.
