I’m working with a modern, growing construction consultancy looking for a Building Regulations Director Principal Designer to take ownership of an emerging service line and build a successful division around it.
This is an opportunity for an experienced BSR professional to shape the strategy, develop the client base and ultimately build a team underneath them. The ideal BSR professional will have the full support of the practice shaping and growing the BSR division.

The Opportunity
As Director, you will become the figurehead for the BSR Principal Designer service, combining technical leadership with client engagement and commercial growth.
You will have the autonomy to:
- Lead and develop the BR Principal Design service line
- Build and grow a high-performing team
- Develop and maintain senior client relationships
- Drive business development and identify new opportunities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic advice
- Develop processes, standards and best practice
- Work closely with the wider leadership team to integrate BSR services across the consultancy
- Mentor and develop future leaders within the division
The successful BSR Principal Designer
This role will suit a Building Regulations Principal Designer / Building Safety professional who wants more than technical responsibility.

Ideal professional will hold:
- BSc in Construction related degree or Chartered Architect qualified
- Client-facing, credible and commercially minded
- Technically strong with extensive BSR / Principal Designer knowledge
- Comfortable operating at Director and senior stakeholder level
- Confident winning work and developing client relationships
- A strong communicator and engaging personality
- Experienced in leading people, teams or service lines
- Entrepreneurial in your approach, with the ambition to build something
