Contract Terms
- Starting salary: PO2 (£44,184 – £47,262 pa)
- Location: Alexandra House, Wood Green
- Contract type: FTC – 12 Months
- Working pattern: Full-time, 36 hours (Hybrid working)
- Closing date: Sunday, 4th October 2026
- Interview date: Week commencing 12th October 2026 (TBC)

About The Role
The main purpose of this role is to carry out person-centred fire risk assessments in line with Haringey’s Building Safety Policy. The post holder will maintain a regular presence on our estates, ensuring that the service is accessible, visible, and inclusive – enabling residents to live safely and sustainably in their homes.
The role acts as the central point of contact for residents, working closely with internal teams, key partners, and support services where cases involve multiple service areas. The post holder will build effective relationships with residents and stakeholders to ensure coordinated and timely support.

The role is also responsible for achieving and maintaining tenancy management performance targets, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met within the designated area, and contributing to the delivery of a sector-leading tenancy management service.
About The Team
The Tenancy Management Team is based at Alexandra House and is made up of dedicated Housing Officers and apprentices and support staff. The team is highly motivated, hardworking, and committed to delivering excellent customer service to residents. They are focused on making a real difference in people’s lives, despite the many challenges they face. Their strong work ethic and genuine care for residents drive them to continually improve services and respond effectively to the needs of the community.
About You
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in housing management and a proven focus on delivering high-quality services. The successful candidate will be committed to continuous service improvement and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
The Ideal Candidate Will Demonstrate
- Strong experience of working collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of working in a customer-facing role, preferably within housing, local government, or a related sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to communicate effectively and confidently with a diverse range of people, including residents, elected members, colleagues, and partner organizations.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and manage a varied workload effectively.
- The ability to work independently using initiative while also being a strong and supportive team player.
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving and service delivery.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and achieving positive outcomes for residents.
