Building Safety Resident Engagement Lead

Blackwell Reach, London

£65,119 - £68,547 per year Plus Company car or car buyout

35 hours per week

We have an opportunity for a Building Safety Resident Engagement Lead to join our Building Safety team. The main purpose of this role is to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Building Safety resident engagement strategies for Sanctuary’s high-rise residential buildings (HRBs), ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act.

This role acts as the critical link between residents, the Building Safety Team and the Building Safety Regulator (BSR), championing the resident voice to ensure safety decisions are informed, transparent and resident focused.

The role of Building Safety Resident Engagement Lead will include:

  • Lead the co-creation, implementation and continuous review of the Resident Engagement Strategy and all engagement activities for all designated High-Rise Residential Buildings (HRBs), ensuring full compliance with the Building Safety Act, the Higher Risk Buildings Regulations 2023 and the Building Assessment Certificate assessment criteria working alongside our customers
  • Establish, chair and facilitate a Building Safety Residents Panel, empowering residents to act as "critical friends" in reviewing safety case reports, fire risk assessments, major works proposals and changes to evacuation strategies. Ensure resident feedback is formally considered, responded to and evidenced through "You Said, We Did" reports
  • Lead consultation processes working with the building safety team and other directorates for significant building safety decisions (e.g. cladding remediation, structural repairs, changes to fire safety systems), ensuring residents are informed, consulted and their views are given due consideration before decisions are finalised. Manage statutory consultations under relevant legislation where required and ensure this is then directly included and evidenced within the Golden Thread
  • Develop and deliver accessible communication materials that translate complex technical fire safety and structural information into plain English, Easy Read, translated and audio/visual formats for diverse resident groups. Ensure all safety information is clear, timely, and resident focused
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the Building Safety Manager, Fire Safety Team, Housing Teams and Asset Management colleagues on the resident impact of safety works, ensuring project timelines and methodologies minimise disruption and maintain transparent communication with residents throughout

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
