Building Services Co-ordinator (Mechanical)
The Building Services Co-ordinator (Mechanical) will possess substantial experience and knowledge of HVACR mechanical building services systems and demonstrate a successful background in the strategic day-to-day management of externally appointed M & E Consultants and Services Contractors.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Liaise with external design team members and key internal University stakeholders during the pre-construction design phase, on-site construction and post completion phases of Capital and Small Works projects being carried out on all of the University’s Campuses.
- Assist with the delivery of and directly plan, organise and manage delegated budgets and supervise a variety of maintenance type projects.
- Provide direct line management supervision and guidance/instruction to the in-house mechanical services trades team as and when asked or required.
- Communicate with end user groups and stakeholders to organise, manage and supervise planned interruptions to existing live services.
- If required and after appropriate training, undertake Authorised Person (AP Mechanical) duties.

Person Specification
- High level of technical and managerial/supervisory competence.
- Sound knowledge of statutory legislation and relevant industry codes of practice.
- Knowledge of health and safety management in the working environment.
- Managing mechanical building services associated with capital and minor works projects.
- HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical building services engineering and/or recognised building services trade apprenticeship.
