Field Diagnostics Engineer (Commercial Real Estate / OT Networks)

Freelance / Independent Contractor €100 – €150/hr (Ongoing Project-Based. Average 4 to 8 hours per asset)
London (UK), New York (US), Amsterdam (NL)
Multiple positions

1. THE MANDATE

Protocol Infrastructure is the standard-setting access governance layer for autonomous robotics in Commercial Real Estate (CRE). We do not manufacture robots. We map the physical and digital chokepoints of Tier-1 enterprise assets to establish the universal baseline for arbitration and fleet admission.

We are seeking a highly disciplined, freelance MEP Engineer or OT Field Technician to execute strictly governed, passive infrastructure audits inside flagship commercial high-rises. You will act as the independent, vendor-neutral auditor on behalf of Protocol Infrastructure. Approved engineers receive continuous, localized dispatch orders for asset audits as our portfolio scales.

2. EXECUTION SCOPE

You will execute the Protocol Audit alongside the facility’s Chief Engineer.

2.1 Strict Zero-Touch Mandate

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
