Building Services Manager

We're looking for a Building Services Manager to join our Regional Operations team based in Glasgow / Scotland.

Location

Glasgow / Scotland

Hours

40 Hours P/W - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Role Overview

Join our team as a Building Services Manager, where you'll provide essential building services expertise across projects from tender through to delivery and commissioning. You'll act as our in-house subject matter expert, working collaboratively with project teams and external partners to ensure excellence in MEP delivery across the region.

Responsibilities

As a Building Services Manager, you'll be working within the Regional Operations Team, supporting them in delivering technical expertise and compliance across multiple projects. Your day to day will include:

  • Assisting with the selection and management of specialist sub-contractors to ensure delivery against Kier standards
  • Working closely with design teams to manage M&E packages and review technical submittals
  • Managing coordination of M&E services on sites and checking quality of installations
  • Taking responsibility for the commissioning process and compliance of as built and maintenance manuals
  • Providing technical advice and solutions to project teams throughout the build phase

Requirements

This role of Building Services Manager is great for you if:

  • You have strong technical knowledge of M&E design and installations, including modern mechanical, electrical and HVAC systems
  • You're qualified in a mechanical or electrical discipline to degree level or equivalent (NVQ/HND/HNC/CIBSE)
  • You have experience working in a main contracting environment, managing specialist sub-contract partners
  • You've delivered large building services packages valued at £5M+ throughout the full project lifecycle
  • You hold SMSTS, CSCS Card and a Full driving licence, as significant travel will be required
