Job Details

Salter Grange is recruiting on behalf of a leading Tier-1 Main Contractor for an immediate requirement for an experienced Building Services Manager to support a major secure-sector project in the North West.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BSM to take full ownership of MEP delivery on a complex, highly regulated live operational environment, working closely with the project team, specialist subcontractors, and key stakeholders.

The role will be 100% dedicated to the project, with an approximate split of 50% site-based and 50% office-based in Liverpool.

Building Services Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health activities across the project.
  • Coordinate and manage specialist MEP subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements.
  • Oversee installation, quality, technical compliance, commissioning, and handover activities.
  • Manage technical queries, design coordination, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager, commercial team, consultants, and client representatives to resolve technical and programme issues.
  • Ensure all MEP works comply with relevant specifications, regulations, health & safety requirements, and project standards.
  • Provide regular progress updates and maintain strong project documentation and reporting.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
