Hays is partnering with a globally recognised engineering and professional services consultancy to recruit a Building Services Lead for its growing Bristol office.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced Building Services professional looking to drive business growth, lead high-performing teams and influence the delivery of complex, high-profile projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, defence, education, transport, energy and advanced manufacturing.

Your New Role

As Building Services Lead, you will be responsible for developing and growing the regional Building Services offering across Bristol, the South West and Wales. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, strengthen client relationships and oversee the successful delivery of a diverse project portfolio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Bristol Building Services team and driving technical excellence.
  • Developing and maintaining key client relationships.
  • Overseeing multidisciplinary MEP project delivery from concept through to completion.
  • Managing programme, quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
  • Supporting business development, bid submissions and fee proposals.
  • Mentoring and developing engineers within the team.
  • Promoting sustainable and low-carbon building services solutions.
  • Driving innovation through BIM and digital engineering technologies.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Degree qualified in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status (preferred)
  • Proven leadership experience within a Building Services consultancy environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge across Mechanical, Electrical and/or Public Health Engineering.
  • Track record of developing client relationships and winning work.
  • Commercial awareness with experience supporting bids and tenders.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience using BIM and digital design tools such as Revit and Navisworks.
