A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Building Services Project Manager at Siemens Energy, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of offshore wind and HVDC interconnector projects. You will be part of a dynamic team within our High Voltage Grids business, working alongside passionate professionals dedicated to shaping the future of renewable energy.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Execute projects and work packages while adhering to safety, quality, time, functionality, and cost requirements.
  • Coordinate designs, specifications, and subcontractor installations for various building services, including:
    • Hot & cold-water systems
    • Lighting (internal and external)
    • Emergency lighting including central battery units
    • Electrical distribution (LV)
    • Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning (HVAC)
    • Telecommunications
    • Security systems (access control, intruder detection and CCTV)
    • Fire detection systems and gaseous fire suppression systems
    • Lifts
  • Manage procurement and oversight of subcontractors from design through delivery and handover.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Act as Contract Administrator for NEC3/4, FIDIC, or bespoke contracts.
  • Define, draft, and manage subcontract documentation in collaboration with project stakeholders.
  • Chair technical and progress meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
  • Ensure consistent flow of design documentation in line with project timelines and requirements.
  • Monitor project scope and manage change logs, highlighting impacts on programme and budget.
  • Support the implementation of innovative ideas and advancements in construction technology and materials.

What You Bring

  • Experience in the UK construction, process, or industrial sectors.
  • Strong understanding of building services installation.
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical and commercial issues.
  • Ambitious and flexible, with a proactive attitude towards work in both office and on-site environments.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety legislation and Building Regulations.
  • Knowledge of BSRIA BG 6.
  • Proficient in IT, particularly MS Office 365.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in electrical or mechanical engineering, or NVQ4 in building services.
  • Relevant qualifications, including:
    • City & Guilds 2382 - Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671)
    • City & Guilds 2391 - Level 3 Award in Periodic Inspection and Testing and/or Initial Verification of Electrical Installations
    • City & Guilds 2396 - Design, Erection & Verification of Electrical Installations
  • Knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015
  • A valid construction site safety passport (CCNSG, CSCS, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Membership in CIBSE/IET or working towards it.
