Building Surveyor
Location: Leeds

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor to join a leading multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy in Leeds. Working within an established and growing Building Surveying team, you will have the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the education, healthcare, commercial, residential, industrial, and public sectors. This role offers exposure to both professional and project-based surveying services, providing excellent career development opportunities within a highly respected consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a range of Building Surveying services across multiple sectors.
- Undertake building inspections, condition surveys, and defect analysis.
- Prepare specifications, schedules of work, and technical reports.
- Manage refurbishment, maintenance, and improvement projects from inception through to completion.
- Act as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent where required.
- Prepare and administer planned maintenance programmes.
- Carry out dilapidations, schedules of condition, and reinstatement cost assessments.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
- Support business development activities and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate closely with in-house disciplines, including project management, cost management, engineering, and sustainability teams.

Requirements
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
- Previous Building Surveying experience within a consultancy environment.
- Strong technical understanding of building pathology and construction.
- Experience delivering refurbishment and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of contract administration and project delivery.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Full UK driving licence desirable.
