The Company
Our client is a well-respected multidisciplinary consultancy with a strong reputation in building safety, façade engineering and remediation. Working closely with housing associations, local authorities, developers and managing agents, they deliver complex cladding remediation and fire safety projects across London and the South East.
Due to continued growth within their Building Surveying and Remediation team, they are seeking a Building Surveyor to support the delivery of large-scale FRAEW-led projects.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor looking to specialise within the rapidly growing building safety and remediation sector. You will work alongside experienced Project Leads, fire engineers and technical specialists, assisting in the delivery of cladding remediation and fire safety projects throughout the project lifecycle. The role will involve a blend of technical surveying, contract administration, stakeholder management and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of FRAEW-led remediation projects on multi-storey residential buildings.
- Assisting Project Leads throughout RIBA Stages 0-6.
- Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, specifications and reports.
- Providing technical advice throughout concept, design and procurement stages.
- Supporting planning applications and Gateway 1 submissions.
- Assisting with tender analysis, contractor procurement and interview processes.
- Reviewing contractor design proposals and technical submissions.
- Identifying technical risks and raising design or compliance queries.
- Supporting Gateway 2 submissions where required.
- Attending site inspections and monthly project meetings.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, consultants and regulatory stakeholders.
- Assisting with project close-out, O&M manuals and Golden Thread compliance requirements.
- Supporting Gateway 3 submissions and final handovers.
- Acting in support of Employer's Agent and Contract Administration functions.
- Monitoring project progress, compliance and programme delivery.

About You
The successful candidate will have building surveying experience and an interest in building safety, façade remediation and residential projects.
Essential Requirements
- Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- Experience working within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Understanding of residential construction and remediation projects.
- Strong technical and report-writing skills.
- Experience working with contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- MRICS qualified or working towards chartership.
- Experience supporting FRAEW assessments and remediation schemes.
- Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Gateway process.
- Understanding of façade systems, cladding remediation and fire safety legislation.
- Experience acting in a Contract Administration or Employer's Agent capacity.
- Previous involvement in multi-storey residential projects.
