Graduate / Intermediate Building Surveyor

Based in Sandwich, Kent • Working across Kent & London

Why Drömhus?

Drömhus is a building surveying and project management practice providing RICS-accredited services to residential and commercial clients across Kent and London. Our work ranges from building surveys and defect investigations to project management and external wall assessments.

We're a small firm, and proud of it. That means you won't be one small part of a large machine: your work will be seen, your ideas will be heard, and you'll make a genuine impact on the business from day one. It also means you'll gain breadth of experience that most graduates in larger practices wait years for, with direct support from the people who run the firm.

Key responsibilities

Graduates will start by supporting senior surveyors and build towards running their own instructions; intermediates will take ownership of their own caseload from the outset.

Surveys and inspections

  • Carry out RICS Level 2 and Level 3 building surveys across a broad range of properties
  • Undertake external wall and cladding inspections (EWS1 and PAS 9980), a pivotal area of our work since Grenfell
  • Investigate defects, damp and condensation, and insurance claims, using drones, thermal imaging and moisture testing
  • Produce clear, accurate reports with practical recommendations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
