Building Surveyor – Northamptonshire / Leicestershire
£45,000 – £65,000 DOE + performance bonus + excellent benefits
Home-based | Monday to Friday
Are you a Building Surveyor who'd like to run your own caseload from home, with a real mix of defect diagnosis, schedules of works and hands-on project management? Match Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-respected national claims and property consultancy for a Building Surveyor to cover the East Midlands.
The patch
Covering Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, so you'll ideally be based somewhere central such as Leicester, Northampton, Kettering or Market Harborough. Location is flexible for the right person.

Day to day
- Handling a varied caseload of surveying instructions on behalf of insurers, loss adjusters and policyholders
- Diagnosing building defects and damage through detailed site surveys
- Producing costed schedules of works
- Managing repair projects from start to finish under JCT contracts, including variations, payments, liquidated damages and contract milestones
- Delivering a high standard of service and meeting agreed client SLAs and KPIs
- Supporting a growing book of private (non-insurance) clients
About you
- Proven building surveying experience; claims or insurance repair experience is welcome but not essential
- Good knowledge of CDM Regulations and JCT contract administration
- RICS or CIOB qualified (AssocRICS, MRICS or MCIOB), or working towards it
- An excellent communicator, comfortable negotiating with contractors, clients and policyholders
- IT-literate, organised and happy working independently as well as part of a wider team
- Full UK driving licence

- £45,000 – £65,000 depending on experience
