Southampton | Multidisciplinary Property & Construction Consultancy | Flexible working

A role with variety, flexibility and some seriously interesting projects. We're working with a highly regarded multidisciplinary consultancy that is continuing to expand its Building Surveying team in Southampton.

They're looking for a Building Surveyor to join an established and collaborative team, working across an exciting mix of Defence, Blue Light, Education and Housing projects plus many more throughout the region.

And importantly, this is a business that puts flexibility, inclusion and professional development at the heart of its culture.

What makes the role stand out?

  • Project values up to £3m - giving you exposure to both smaller commissions and larger, more complex schemes.
  • Flexible & remote working - a culture built around trust, with genuine flexibility around how and where you work.
  • Career development - opportunities to broaden your technical experience, take on additional responsibility and progress within the team.
  • Collaborative environment - work alongside experienced building surveyors and a wider multidisciplinary team.
  • People-focused culture - your ideas and experience are valued, with an emphasis on collaboration rather than hierarchy.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
