The Role

The role of the Building Surveyor – Building Surveying & Compliance will involve:

  • Building Surveyor position responsible for a range of Building Surveying and Compliance projects (covering fire safety, security compliance and remedial works projects across a range of commercial and public sector buildings)
  • Conduct building surveys, inspections and site visits, identifying defects, compliance issues and required remedial works
  • Manage projects from initial survey through to completion, coordinating contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, specifications and recommendations to support works and compliance requirements
  • Oversee projects with values of up to £1.5m

The Ideal Applicant

The ideal applicant will be a Building Surveyor – Building Surveying & Compliance with:

  • Must have experience as a Building Surveyor
  • Must be RICS certified
  • Highly advantageous to have experience working on public sector projects (education, healthcare, local authorities, social housing etc.)
  • Ideally have experience within the fire protection, fire door, automated doors, M&E works or a related sector
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills)
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels both written and verbal
  • Must be a great team player
  • High levels of organisation
