I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Rather than being restricted to a narrow area of Building Surveying, you will have the opportunity to develop a broad and commercially valuable range of expertise.
Build the Career You Want
One of the strongest aspects of this opportunity is the emphasis placed on career development.
For somebody working towards chartership, there is an established environment in which to develop professionally, gain broader experience and receive meaningful support towards the RICS APC.
For an MRICS Building Surveyor, the opportunity is equally compelling.
There is a genuine pathway to progress through the organisation, take greater responsibility for clients and projects, develop commercial and leadership capability and ultimately work towards a senior-level appointment.
The objective is not simply to recruit somebody into a vacancy. It is to identify an individual with the potential to build a long-term career within the business.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are interested in speaking with Building Surveyors who can demonstrate:
- Approximately three years or more relevant Building Surveying experience
- A strong Building Surveying degree or equivalent professional background
- Experience gained within a consultancy or private-practice environment
- Strong technical Building Surveying knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence to work directly with clients and professional teams
- A genuine desire to continue developing professionally
Applications are welcomed from both chartered and near-chartered Building Surveyors, including ambitious candidates seeking stronger APC support and a clearer pathway towards MRICS.
