Graduate/Building Surveyor

Location: Bristol

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

An excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor or Assistant Building Surveyor to join a growing independent Building Surveying consultancy in Bristol, offering excellent APC support and a clear route to MRICS Chartership.

One of the Directors is a well respected APC Assessor, and you'll have the opportunity to work directly alongside them, receiving hands-on APC guidance while building the experience and competencies required to become a Chartered Building Surveyor.

The Role

You'll gain broad experience across both professional and project Building Surveying, including:

  • Building Surveys
  • Technical Due Diligence
  • Dilapidations
  • Schedules of Condition
  • Defect Diagnosis
  • Contract Administration
  • JCT Contracts
  • Specifications and Schedules of Work
  • Refurbishment Projects
  • Project Management

You'll work across an interesting portfolio of commercial, heritage and historic properties, including theatres, listed buildings, farms and estates, with projects ranging from smaller professional instructions through to multi-million-pound schemes.

About You

We're interested in hearing from Graduate/Building Surveyors, Assistant Building Surveyors and Building Surveyors looking to progress their careers. Ideally, you'll have:

  • RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree or relevant property qualification
  • Ambition to become MRICS Chartered
  • Building Surveying experience advantageous but not essential for strong graduates
  • Good communication and client-facing skills
  • Interest in both professional and project Building Surveying
  • Full UK driving licence
