Being highly-specialised at a particular sector as a Building Surveyor is a great situation to be in. Particularly a sector that is never going to get quiet - like Education.

This busy, independent building and project consultancy is looking for a Building Surveyor just like that to join their friendly team.

Based in a modern central-Manchester office, this is a fantastic option for any Building Surveyors looking to get away from the red-tape of their current consultancy, and who want to be a valued member of the team rather than just an anonymous face. Covering project work as well as surveying, you’ll be instrumental in helping a number of their clients from day one.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

They’re open on level – it’s more about fit than the exact amount of experience you have. Ideally you’ll MRICS already, but it’s not a dealbreaker. There's scope to progress too - no glass ceiling at all.
