Job Title: Experienced Building Technician

Location: Stratford, London, E20

Salary: £41,194 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm with one hour break unpaid

Main Duties:

  • Ensuring health & safety regulations and safe working practices are in place
  • Carrying out mechanical and electrical inspections of all internal common areas
  • Complying with all relevant health and safety legislation and procedures
  • Ensuring that any handymen are compliant in carrying out maintenance work undertaken when co-working
  • Undertaking repair and reactive, planned, and preventative maintenance work
  • Assisting in the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems, such as plumbing, heating, ventilating, air conditioning, etc.
  • Performing minor plumbing maintenance (e.g., replacement or repair of drains, leaks, unclogging of drains)
  • Assisting with maintenance equipment warranties and maintenance agreements for machinery and equipment
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner
  • Checking common area fire detection systems
  • Liaising with emergency services or the fire detection service provider as required
  • Reacting in accordance with emergency response plans for water leaks, power failures, and other such incidents, including escalation to service providers and emergency services as required

Requirements:

  • Strong customer services focus based on service excellence
  • At least two years’ previous experience as a Building Technician
  • Excellent command of the English language and the ability to write reports
  • Polite, courteous with a smart and clean appearance
  • Available for work out of hours including weekends if necessary
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of Health & Safety
  • 18th Edition Electrical certification
  • Experience with using CCTV, access control, and fire systems
  • HND/HNC/NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds, recognised apprenticeship, or equivalent in a Building or technical discipline
