Are you an HGV Driver looking for a new challenge working in the animal feed industry?

We're on the lookout for dedicated, professional drivers to join our established team at L S Smellie Ltd, based in Strathaven, as an HGV Bulk Blower Driver & Operator

THE JOB

You'll be at the heart of our operations, delivering animal feed to our valued customers. This is more than just a driving job - it's about being a key player in our supply chain, offering more variety than just motorway driving, and taking on a new challenge that involves operating specialist bulk blowing vehicles in some of our most scenic rural areas.

What you'll do:

  • Operate HGV vehicles to deliver and collect animal feed.
  • Provide excellent customer service and represent our brand
  • Ensure full compliance with transport laws and safety standards
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in line with company procedures and legal obligations to ensure optimal fleet performance and efficiency is achieved.
  • Support the team with flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Skills, Experience And Qualities Required

  • LGV Licence (Essential) (Class 1 desirable)
  • Driver CPC (essential)
  • Experience in agriculture or animal feed delivery (desirable).
  • A flexible, can-do approach to work.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and responsibly.
