Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Burns Specialist Care for a motivated Band 6 Nurse with an interest in Burns Specialist Outreach Nursing. Previous acute experience as burns nurse would be desirable. You would be part of the Multidisciplinary Team to ensure our inpatients/outpatients receive the quality care that is essential to meet their holistic needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to enable you to work effectively within a challenging environment.
Responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to facilitate teaching in the community in liaison with community / GP services to ensure continued high-quality patient care is maintained and working within the framework of Trust policies.
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and attending weekly MDT meetings to maintain the highest standards that will enhance the patients' experience and recovery.
- Provide specialist burn care service to patients in community, be efficient in managing a patient caseload and able to support the patient’s families, carers and friends.
