Role Description
This is a part-time, zero hour driver role based in Redhill. The Bus Driver is responsible for safely operating buses on assigned routes and journeys, including event transport and railway replacement services. Daily tasks include conducting pre-journey vehicle inspections, following scheduled timetables, adhering to road safety regulations, and maintaining accurate logs or reports as required. The role involves assisting passengers with boarding and alighting, providing clear and courteous information, and handling any customer queries or concerns in a professional manner.

Qualifications

- Valid Category D Driving Licence & CPC
- Preferably over 25
- Defensive driving skills and a solid understanding of road safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience with driver training or a willingness to participate in ongoing training and skills development.
- Excellent customer service skills, including clear communication and a professional, respectful approach to all passengers.
- Valid commercial driving license appropriate for bus operation, with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work part time on-site in Redhill, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or split shifts as required.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform basic vehicle checks and report maintenance issues promptly.
- Reliable, punctual, and capable of working independently while following company policies and procedures.
